See everything; overlook a great deal; correct a little.

So, had quite an unusual weekend. Was supposed to meet a friend at P.S. yesterday, and was made to walk around tekka in the hot afternoon instead. ARGH! We were shopping for shoes in Tekka! On a SATURDAY AFTERNOON! *Faints*

I didn’t know that “Chicken Dosai” can be found in Tekka. Found that out yesterday. Quite unique and nice, but the portion was a little big. It’s a thosai with Sambal Chicken as the filling. Haiz, forgot the name of the Shop though. Guess my memory and brains got a bit dehydrated too.

But oh well, I came back home in one piece, all dried, dehydrated and bbqed. Caught some shows on the Tee-vee when I came back. I’m now quite addicted to this show on Vijay Tv. ‘Boys vs Girls’.

I’m supporting the boys though. Haha.

Can’t tahan the girls lah. I always want to bury my face in my pillow when I see them appearing on stage. They and their CMI ways of dancing. The way they express they words is so annoying. Especially this woman called ‘Aishwaria.’ Please grow up ladies, and take competitions healthy!

Burppp.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Grace @ 1:14 am

I feel like a stuffed pig today. Ate quite a lot for dinner. Fish and Chips + Chicken burger. Thanks to my dear mum for chucking her burger with me.

Anyways, yesterday was quite fun. Saara, Dharshi, Ragu and I drove down to East Coast in the evening.

I was quite taken aback when I noticed the toilets there. The shower place was outside the cubicles, and it was in the open space without a rooftop. And it was covered by a see through panel. How the heck are females supposed to shower in such a place? Damn dumb right?

After that, we headed down to Changi for seafood. It was Saara’s treat since he won 4d. This guy never fails to amuse me. He has some lucky charm lah.. He wins lottery and all in rows. Seafood was good. And then as usual the mischievous Ragu was adamant to get to the ulu side of Changi Beach to see the haunted dirty sights. It was a little creepy as we coud see a lot of prayers being done. Perhaps it’s because it was Eclipse or something. The place smelt weird and the smell followed me all the way back. Thanks to Ragu! Grrr.

I’m having a very bad backache, and it’s at the right side. Sucks man!

And a warning to all, don’t ever watch the movie Sarvam. It’s a waste of time and money.

Sometimes, when one person is missing, the whole world seems depopulated.

Today marks the Second Anniversary of my hero. It’s been exactly 2 years since my dad passed on.

He’s been appearing in our dreams quite frequent as of late. I’m sure he’s reminding us of his presence and that he’s still around.

Needless to say, we still miss him a lot. Things are never the same with him not beside.

All the little things he did still rings in my mind.

Like how he ensured that the Starhub bills are always paid on time no matter what, because he doesn’t wanna deprive me of something which made me happy. (The Internet)

How he used to bribe me and my sister with chocolates each time he upsets us by raising his voice.

How he always used to support me & my sis whenever we had arguements with my mum. I still remember his cheeky laughter and winks when he had to console my mum after that.

How he promised us that he will quit smoking if me and my sister topped the class. How he’d be silently laughing when we never got to that level.

Somethings can never be replaced.

I never believed in rebirths and generations. But now I do, in the hope that I can see my Dad again, in another form.

******

Emo feelings aside, I have some prayers to do at the temple today. Hope all goes good.

Some matters still remain unsolved. Like how I get so tired trying to settle my house issues after my father’s demise. From HDB – The Bank – HDB. (And it still is going on)

Sick and tired of this merry-go-round. Till today I haven’t gotten an answer.

If the demise of someone dear makes you upset, the dealings of all other matters make you worse.

I thought things like these only happen in India, but I’m so wrong. It’s happening here… Right here.

The hardest work is to go idle.

I’m extremely exhausted!

Anyway, I just got twitter. Those with an account, please do add me. I’m feeling quite lost ah. Still new to the stuff there. There are times where I feel like switching back to blogspot since many things are restricted here in wordpress, but it’s just too much of a hassle. I might do the switch when I’m free sometime.

Went to catch ‘Sarvam’ a few days ago. It was such a disappointment. I’ve really given up hope on tamil movies now. It was just an mixture of superman scenes which was randomly linked to two groups of people. And they made the poor dog a villian! Haiz. Please remind me not to waste my money on tamil movies anymore. If I only had the money, I will make my own movie. But then again, people don’t really accept such new trends. Kamal’s “Kuruthipunal” is a perfect example.

*****

It get’s really boring when you’re not working! I’ve practically memorised the songs of the Sun TV Serials. Yeh, have been hearing it everyday since my mum’s a fanatic of those dramas. So there I am everyday hogging on to the lappy everyday. Hope I get a good news soon.

And tomorrow’s Friday. The end of yet another week. So damn sian.

Men

Men, are very funny creatures. Really. They can irritate the life out of you but at the same time, life just isn’t the same without them.

INCIDENT ONE

Rob and Gina were always having problems in their relationship. Gina felt that Rob was paying more attention in making money, rather then spending time with her, or improving their almost broken relationship. Rob was a very nice guy, but didn’t prioritise his relationship, or bother making Gina feel loved. He was just happy to have her around, but didn’t say or show things to make her feel important. It was always her initiating everything. She was beginning to get very frustrated. One day, things out out of hand and she decided to call it quits. She told him that she wanted to break up with him since they couldn’t work things out. He silently agreed.

Two hours later, Rob called Gina. Gina happily answered the phone, thinking that he’s finally going to put in some effort in the relationship.

Rob: “Babe, I got something for you.”

Gina: “What is it?”

At this moment, Gina feels a sense of excitement as Rob never really got a gift for her before. (Not even flowers)

Rob: “It’s a book..”

Gina: “What book?”

Rob: “Why we want you to be rich. By Donald Trump & Robert Kiyosaki.”

Gina: -_-”

*****

INCIDENT TWO

Sam has had feelings for Diana for a long time now, but Diana doesn’t feel the same way as she finds him a little crude. He doesn’t know how to speak to a girl, and the way he talks always leaves her feeling irritated and agitated. Sam still tries his luck.. for many many years, but still Diana only can regard him as her friend.

One day, he gives her a peck on her cheek all of a sudden. Diana doesn’t want to blow up the issue so she tries to calm down before questioning him. Before she could question his behaviour, he starts sneezing continuosly. She get’s a little worried now and asks him,

Diana: “Are you alright? Why are you sneezing so much all of a sudden?”

Sam: “Oh, cos I just kissed a swine.. So, I GOT SWINE FLU! HAHAHA!”

Diana: -_-”

These are real-life incidents by the way. Names have been changed to protect the victim’s privacy. Hahaha!

Woman confronted molester

Filed under: Uncategorized — Grace @ 6:26 pm

Source: The Straits Times

A PLUCKY young woman confronted her molester on an MRT train and shouted for help but no one came to her aid, a district court heard.

In a fit of anger, the 23-year-old former healthcare assistant slapped Rengasamy Velmurugan on the face and grabbed hold of his right arm, intending to haul him out at the next MRT station.

The 20-year-old Indian national immediately flung off her hand.

But she grabbed him by the collar and alighted at the next station, Bugis, shouting for help. An unknown woman came to her help.

While the victim was relating the incident to her, the construction worker fled and tried to board the train.

But the victim pulled him out and dragged him towards the escalator with the help of other passengers.

By this time, a station manager heard the commotion and came down to help.

Both the victim and Rengasamy were brought to a holding room and the police called.

On Thursday, Rengasamy was jailed for eight months after he admitted to squeezing the victim’s breast twice on the train travelling from Lavender to Bugis MRT station on Jan 16.

Rengasamy, whose sentence was backdated to March 18, could have been jailed for up to two years or fined or caned or received any combination of the punishments.

I admire this woman. Every woman should have this courage, unless of course he has the build of Dwayne Johnson or something.

Woohoo!

friday109

At this point, some may wonder. What difference does it even make to Gaya who’s not working! But hey, it does! Friday means tomorrow all my folks will be free to entertain me! Weeeeeeeeeeee!

******

With that aside, I’m just quite confused. I want to change my phone but I can’t decide if I should get a touch screen or settle with a normal music phone. My current phone is showing me tantrums and it’s like getting from bad to worse. It just switches off by itself and restarts for no reason. And this happens all the time. (When I get a call, just end a call, listen to music, etc.)

But this phone has sentimental values lah, Ragu bought it for me. But no worries, I’ll just get him to buy my next new phone so that issue’s solved.

I’m actually hesitating to get a touch screen phone as I’m quite clumsy by nature.

My Idol!

My Idol!

Okay, I’m off to have dinner. Have a good weekend.

Yuckkk.
