I learnt a lesson. A very big one infact.
Which is, DON’T EVER FIGHT WITH SINGAPOREANS when it comes to special promotions or bargains. You see, I and my sister chanced upon this particular flyer almost everywhere. It stated that there was this promotion going on till 30th July, where rebonding only costs $45. I and Dharshi decided to head there, but we only got time on Saturday, which happened to be the last day of the promo.
We had difficulty finding seats in the saloon. The stylists were fighting among themselves to offer seats to their customers. The moment someone gets up to wash their hair, another stylists drags their customer to grab the other person’s seat. And the poor customer earlier has to stand before he finds another ‘victim’ who walks off to wash his hair. This was not it. I was so ‘blessed’ to get this male hair stylist who was so damn rough with my hair. He was almost pulling out the strands each time when he was ironing my hair. I was just waiting to get out of that damn place.
I prefer a stylist to be handling my hair all the way, but these people were just coming one at a time to do a bit while handing over to another. And everyone has their different ways of handling. The end result? Badly burnt and damaged hair. The price you gotta pay for a “discounted rate.’ Marvelous.
I’m never stepping in there again, or any other saloon which offers some kinda mass promotion. It makes no difference if you booked an appointment with them or not. It wasn’t just my hair being damaged. The hairstylist didn’t iron my hair properly and left some curls at the left side. This is so damn retarded. The hairstylist admitted that the rebonding wasn’t done properly and offered to do it FOC for me again that day. I told them I’ll come again another day.
Come on, who’s gonna go thru that shuffing all over again? I fixed an appointment this Friday, but I highly doubt I’ll be rebonding my hair. I’ll just get a good treatment done or something. My hair definitely can’t take any more chemicals.

Met my sunshine after that, had some satay, and the famous Hokkien Noodles at Toa Payoh. Sis left first, and I and Ragu took a stroll around my old neighbourhood. Whoa, that brought me many memories. Especially those times I used to wait for my school bus when I was in Primary School.
I caught ‘Drag me to Hell’ after that. It was quite freaky lah. That old gypsy woman in that show was really gross. Her nails, clothes, phlegm and everything else. Thank god I’m not working with a Bank. No old women come to a Shipyard to look for me, so I escape!

One of my colleague wants to go to Tekka today, so I’ll probably be giving her my most precious and wanted company. Why am I blogging all this? Cos I’m bored. But hey, it’s better then leaving this space empty right? Hehe.

PEEK A BOO
