My X’mas Weekend – 2010

27 Dec

We’re approaching the end of 2010 already. Time if flying by so fast, it’s actually getting scary.

I’m turning 26 next year! OMG! *Runs away with inverted palm on mouth like a 60′s bollywood queen.*

Anways, before I forget; my belated X’mas greetings to all of you folks! Hope you had a blast and enjoyed your weekend.

I had a great weekend myself. Let me see.. I did some shopping with my sister, caught a movie (Gulliver’s Travels; short review coming up) and went to have my long awaited A&W meal at JB. All Malaysians are really lucky, you know. We Singaporeans have to travel all the way to JB or Batam to taste A&W, but you all have it so convenient. As the saying goes, treasure what you have as you will only realize it’s importance when it’s gone. (No, I’m not a glutton for using this saying for food. Just had to make this sound a lil emotional. :P )

Coming back to Gulliver’s Travel, this is basically the story of this guy who was sent to the Bermuda to write an article. The movie is more on what he experiences after that. Jack Black did justice to the comedy part but the movie if you ask me, was just average. This could be purely just my opinion though. I think my disappointment actually is because of my expectations of it; since it was a 3D movie.

There weren’t many effects to look out for, and I found there was little work for those 3D glasses. I found the few more bucks I paid were a little unnecessary but I’m ok about it since my company was good. ;-) It was a pleasant surprise seeing Jason Segel though. He’s one of my favourite characters from ‘How I met your Mother.’

Sunday morning was spent in JayBee. My dearest BIL Saara brought us to A&W (like finally, after months of bugging and pestering from me and Dharshi.) We had to wait for 45mins to an hour before we actually got our food (in installments; first the onion rings…. 10 mins later the fries…. 15mins later the chicken, etc.)

Let’s just say the experience was more memorable than the taste of the food. (Especially their ‘Fortune Burger’) -.-

But then again, “IT’S THE COMPANY THAT COUNTS.” – (My trademark dialogue) Heehee.

I’m back to work here. My office is so quiet as everyone is clearing their leave! That’s good. Lesser work for me.

Okay, till we meet again….
