A small summary for those who don’t already know:- There’s this one case on trial recently, about the rape of a 22 year old. Apparently, the victim was clubbing at Zouk with her female friend and got introduced to the rapist, Ong Mingwee by a mutual friend. When the victim got high, Ong offered to send her back home but he brought her back to his apartment and raped her instead.
Ong Mingwee, 27 yr-old accused for raping a 23 yr-old girl at Toa Payoh North. (Poor guy had no time to comb his hair)
This case if you ask me, could have been prevented. I don’t fully sympathize with the victim either. I’m not against women having fun in clubs, but every female should know that they are very vulnerable in places like these.
Getting themselves very drunk just adds on to their foolishness. If someone’s gonna argue with me sayin’ that this is fine because they’re all open minded; them they should just adapt to the rape and make it consensual. What?! Just be open-minded!
God made men visual creatures. They’re attracted to what they see. So you wanna flaunt what you got with skimpy clothes in the name of parties like ‘Zouk-out’ etc? Sure; just be prepared to get groped and molested. And please don’t cry when it happens. YOU asked for it.
I can never understand the logic of women wearing revealing clothes and getting angry when they receive suggestive comments.

I truly emphathize with helpless victims of sexual abuse. Like the poor victims who suffer at home with a privative member, or children who are mishandled by polluted adults. These are the true victims in my opinion. But the case above….. *sigh*

Although i may not fully agree that just because a women wears skimpy clothes does not ‘justify’ or make the action to rape even remotely ‘understandable’, however i do fully agree that if u go out partying with skimpy clothes…u need at least make sure that u are able to look after yourself or have someone trusted to look after you…else…be prepared for these things.

Haha no worries Prem. But as a girl I can assure you that wearing skimpy clothes around is asking for trouble. They are men with lustful eyes gawking at women even when they are dressed appropriately. Dressing skimpily is just asking for attention in my opinion. And if the attention leads to action.. There comes trouble. And being dressed impropriate in an atmosphere where drunk people and close proximity is involved, ALLELUJIA!
And I agree with the part about looking after themselves or getting someone trusted to look after you. I guess some females take their safety for granted. Well, this story is a lesson for all!
