Quote: A friend who gossips about someone to you, will gossip about you too.
I bet everyone here must have met people like this in your lives. Ah, everyone meets people who somehow or rather end up pissing you off so bad you wish you could have just punched them in their faces! Venting about them to your close ones, ONCE in a while is fine. And I repeat, ONCE in a while. Not the whole god-damn time.. When you see them and you go “Ah, you know this person. Did *bleh bleh bleh bleh.* and then *bleh bleh bleh bleh*.” And you know this person deep down HAS to update you on they’re so pissed off and the very next moment, you see them hanging out with the same person they were complaining about.
I guess these people have their own reasons for this. It could be cos…
1) They’re seeking for attention. They feel if they don’t have something juicy to tell you, you’re not going to be interested in holding a conversation with them anymore. So they start to add in extra ingredients in their story, that it seems so interesting. (In which 87% of the content will be pure bullshit.)
Like for example:-
REAL INCIDENT: Tommy, the cute guy in the office, an eye-candy to many females would slipped in the pantry but managed to stay on his feet. Jamie, an attention seeking colleague happens to see it. Tommy laughed it off and walked off.
HER NARRATION: Jamie (the attention seeker) would immediately run in and tell some whom SHE regards close to that,
“Hey you know earlier I saw Tommy. And guess what? He FELL DOWN! OMG like seriously. He was like really flat on the floor and almost went into concussion. I ran over and asked if he was ok. He GRABBED my hands and used it to get back up. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT GURL! He touched my hands! AHHH! And duh, I’m not going to wash my hands today ok! When he got off he actually exchanged his number with me. He said I looked nice when I dress this way!”
As you can see, the story has been modified to sound so interesting that will keep the party interested. Sometimes, these attention seekers go all the way to fake a conversation which someone whom they have never spoken to in their entire life. And if you pay close attention to these stories, you will notice they will all begin to sound the same. The conversation style and all, will not vary much. If we go further we will realize this people may be delusional. If you want to do a good deed for the day, go on. Please refer them to the nearest Mental Institute. Atleast we can help them out.
2) They can’t shut their mouth.
They have to tell people something! So information about A goes to C and about B goes to D and about C goes to A. Eventually everyone knows everything already. It’s okay to have one close pal you share your secrets and frustrations with. If you’re going to maintain that kind of a
‘bitching’ relationship with everyone, you’re going to be added in to their little black diary of people to avoid.
Wherever we go, we are bound to meet people like this. What I can advise is, GIVE THEM A KICK AT THEIR ARSE AND ASK THEM TO GET LOST FROM YOUR LIFE!
Nah, kidding. That must be a difficult option when you’re going to be with them for sometime for some reason. So, just try to avoid them as much as possible and don’t reveal your personal stuff to them. Not even your problems. Unless of course you’re cool with everyone else knowing how you have a fantasy of picking your nose and stickin’ the gooey stuff on people’s chair. (Pls tell me if you have this habit, I will stay away from you. Thank you.)

Haha.. Welcome back!!
