For those who don’t know, wordpress has this function which enables you to see the people who get diverted to your blog from other sites, or google (the only searching engine for wordpress I guess, correct me if I’m wrong.)

So for example if you type “Doinky Boinky” in google and click search, and I happened to blog about a Pinky Ponky named “Doinky Boinky”, my blog’s entry appears in Google. When you click on it, I’d get a notification on my site when I click ‘Blog Stats’. (Only the editors of the blog can see this.)

It’s going to be the end of 2009. We’re only one month away and I just can’t believe that the time is speeding at this rate.

It was a few years ago when people started addressing me as ‘girl’ and now I despise it when they call me ‘lady.’ I’m still living in the era when I was 18 and I REFUSE to move off from there. (God bless me.)

Most of my friends are all already married, but that’s not stressing me at all. Cos I still feel I’m too young to get married, and I’m very happy in my dating phase. That DOESN’T mean that I’m a no commitment person, of course. I’m very committed in my perfect relationship with my precious sweetheart, but maybe the fear that things get different after marriage adds on to my dis-interest in marriage for now. Especially after hearing the scary stories of how couples grow out of love and etc, I don’t want to move on to the next level just yet. But when it comes, it comes right. I don’t wish to be unmarried till I’m unhealthy to have a kid or something. But now, it’s just too soon.

Anyways, I just turned 24 last week (in case you didn’t know) and it was one of the best celebrations I had. Though it was a simple affair with my loved ones, the effort and love from every single one of them made my heart melt. Pictures have been uploaded on facebook.  A big thank you goes out to everyone who wished me, via sms, facebook, etc. And I truly appreciate the mid-night calls! I can never grow out of getting wished on my birthday at 12 a.m. on the dot. It really brightens up my day and makes me look forward for the awesome day I’m gonna have ahead.

With that said, this month is going to be a pretty hectic one as there’s gonna be quite a lot happening. One of the events worth mentioning here is my very dearest friend Uvana’s ROM and Engagement. Uvana’s been my friend for 10 years odd now, and she’s the same darling as ever even though she’s so far away from me. (Like they say, far at distance but close at heart.) Many friends who migrate overseas don’t bother to keep in touch once they’ve found new friends, but she’s someone who’s always prioritized our friendship. That’s what makes this so special. Damn, I miss my secondary school days more when I think of this whacky woman!

Oh well, ciao for now.

I’m seriously dying. I need a vacation. Need to go somewhere and take a break! Or else you all have to visit me at IMH sooner or later.

I really need to know what’s up with people googling for the word ‘porcupine’ and getting themselves diverted to my blog. And when I mean search, I mean 70 – 80+ of these people getting directed to my blog for the past week. Was there some accident involving a porcupine or something? If there was, please do enlighten me.

Moving forward, I’m just going to speak my mind about something really random. This has nothing to do with my personal life, but I’ve seen it happening around. Here’s my few cents worth.

Most of us claim about the equal rights among the two genders and so forth, but women are generally lagging behind in many ways. Even in simple matters, men try to shut women up by saying ‘Oh, it’s just a men’s thing.’

What exactly, is a men’s thing? Something I really can’t tolerate is how males go around doing mistakes using their gender as a lame excuse. It really isn’t wise to blame one’s gender for the lack of ability in controlling one’s mind over their body.

A small example would be a married male gawking at a woman who walks past, and obviously lusts at her. When his wife questions him, he may just put it off as ‘It’s just a men’s thing.’

Oh yes, I’m aware that men are attracted to visuals, but has nothing to do with gawking and lusting at every woman. If this attraction is so powerful, does this mean you get attracted to your own mother/ sister’s curves in their body?

In some sick cases, yes. Guys do lust over their sisters. (Please remind me again on how sick men are. We don’t see women raping their sons. But it happens the other way around.) But in most cases, men control themselves from looking at their family in that way. Cos they know that it’s a mistake. I really don’t quite get why this control can’t be used when one is looking at a random woman.

Are you going to tell me that just looking isn’t lusting? You’re wrong.

“It is normal for men to notice other women. It’s even normal for men to lust after women. It’s not right, but it’s normal.

One of the reasons you are losing the passion for your wife is because you are allowing yourself to lust after these other women. The moment you lust, you are not only devaluing the object of lust, you’re placing your “heart’s desire” in something that’s not yours to do that with.”

For those who claim that it’s in the gender, here’s your answer.

“What’s wrong if I see? I’m not touchin them, or sleeping around with them.”

To me, once one is in a committed relationship, lusting at someone else is the first step to adultery. Be it someone walking down the street, an actress, or a simple act as watching porn.

Once you start lusting, you start comparing your partners with these people and give them pressure to become someone else.

Lusting, touching, sleeping around all boils down to one thing. Unfaithfulness.

Admit it, and stop pretending that you’re not sinning cos it’s all normal. It’s not.

AND just for your info, as a woman, let me tell everyone that women are as visual as men. We do lust at hot men, but we know when to draw the line. 

Get the fact straight that women do lust, but we draw the lines when in a commitment. That’s cos we’ve been that way, for many years now.

Once again, this does not involve the males in my life, and of course Ragu. This is specially for ungrateful, unfaithful retards who live in denial. I hope I’ve nailed it right on your forehead.

I’ve personally met men who are against infidelity as well. So I’m not saying every male is like that, but I’m damn sure, most males think this way.

It’s very normal for people to look at someone and comment,

‘Hey you remind me of someone.’

For me, I’ve came across many such incidents where I remind people of their ex girlfriends, sister, mother, aunty and etc. (Thank god that I never came across someone saying that I remind them of their grandmother, but perhaps that’s coming soon.)

The most common comment I’ve heard is that I resemble Jyothika. Of course, I take this as a compliment (Though I never liked her.)

About 9 years ago, during recess time, I was seated with my friends when this Punjabi girl approached me. She looked at me and said

‘Hey you remind me of someone.’

And I was thinking it’s gonna be the usual Jyothika, or something… When she says

I was like… WTF.. MGR?

And all my friends (including my sister) were laughing their asses off. I honestly don’t see a connection, but maybe it’s his nose or smth.

But anyway, yesterday I was going to the toilet, and was avoiding the cleaner aunty. The cleaner is said to be a real cranky woman who jumps at people for practically no reason. As I was siam-ing her, she suddenly greeted me with a

‘Hey sexyyy!’

And I went

‘Hey beautiful!’

And she told me something I really didn’t expect. I will tell you. But promise not to laugh at me or to make fun of me when you see me next time kay.

I really hate it when people seek attention from me. Especially if it’s from people I don’t even like.

A typical example would be them messaging me online or something, asking me how am I doing. And when I reply and ask them back the same question, (just for formalities sake) they go,

‘Oh yeah, still living.’

What are they trying to prove? That they’re depressed or something? Okay, fair enough. So I guess that they seeking a bit of attention from me and I get a little more detailed.

‘What’s wrong? You don’t sound too good.’

And they go

‘Hmmm…. Nothing.’

And the conversation ends here. Cos these people are really testing my patience. Perhaps they want me to go on my knees to ask them what’s bothering them. But obviously I won’t. If you have something bothering you which you want to share, just share. If not, shut up and disappear.

Maybe it’s just me. When I’m upset, I don’t show it. I may be crying at the back of my computer screen, but when I receive an IM message from someone I haven’t heard from for sometime asking me how am I doing, I’d go

‘Oh I’m great! Yourself? ’

If I’m truthful, I probably open up and tell them on what’s on my mind without waiting for them to ask me. Cos I’m that straightforward. (And I only open up to close friends or really GOOD listeners/ advisors.)

So think twice before you come whining to me. I might just make you feel worse than before.
